arapahoe county sheriff’s department and colorado center for the blind teaching experience

In partnership with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department Mounted Unit, McNicholas Miniatures and Deputies taught adults and children from the Colorado Center for the Blind about horses. They taught about the care, responsibilities, and benefits of horsemanship and using horses in a mounted sheriff’s unit. Participants were able to brush, hug, and interact with Love Bug, Happy Times, Kobe, and the horses of volunteers and deputies.

Love Bug brought cheer, comfort, and therapeutic snuggles to cancer patients at Centura-Littleton Adventist Hospital. Participating with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department, Love Bug volunteered as part of the Blue Backs the Pink campaign to raise money supporting cancer patients
